As their slogan said, Italiannies ask us to "Bring friends and a big appetite!", I admit I can really eat but I have a petite appetite. Most probably due to the reason I grow fat easily, shhhhhh!!!
However, PINCH of salt's birthday e-Voucher RM 30 was preloaded 2 weeks before mystery man birthday and valid until 2 weeks after his birthday. Although there are many brands under PINCH of salt, but for Penang only TGI Fridays & Italiannaies available. Thus left us two choices only. T.T
Updated on 21st July, 2014: We were very disappointed with the only Italiannaise outlet in Penang for not only once but twice. First visit, we have taken our seat for at least 15 mins and nobody bother to serve us. We were so mad and log a complaint through their site. The Penang's outlet Manager called us and apologize.
Then, this year, with the RM 30 birthday voucher, we were going to give Italliannaies second chance to dine in again as we are a fans of their food. Again, we were welcomed with menu readily opened for us so we thought hey this is a good start. After we made our orders, we waited so long for our warm water and complimentary breads to be served (they only prepare them because we reminded them again).
Alright, enough with the bad services. Lets move on with their fantastic food.
Lasagna A La Ravina (RM 35.90), I wasn't a fans of Lasagna but this has really impressed me. Lasagna with the harmony layered of savory minced meat ragout, magnified with the cream sauce and Mozzarella cheese.
We opt for something very seafood-> Seafood Cioppino (RM 42.90). Noticed this dish flooded with mussels, clams, calamaris and shrimp?! We were stunned with the huge portion?! umm strictly speaking I am the only one who was stunned as mystery man has been a regular eater. I enjoyed their marina linguine sauce with the sparks came from the white wine. Their shrimps were super fresh and Q-vy.
Tropicale (RM 36.90), crispy crust pizza topped with turkey ham, pineapple, Mozzarella cheeses all spread over with their home made Pomodoro Sauce.
Excused me for being a frog from a well, I was intrigue with duck pizza in menu. Tada! We ordered Spicy Smoked Duck with Buffalo Mozzarella Pizza (RM 39.90). Even mystery man was never a duck fan enjoyed having this. Their pomodoro sauce along with buffalo mozzarella cheese just took away the strong duck smell which not everyone can withstand. We were little nightmare of red onion since the burger we had at Raja Uda, surprisingly found this raw onion perfectly served with the pizza.
Complimentary bread with vinegar and olive oil.
