Safe Room @ Campbell Street, Penang

With the vogue of cafe growing to the extend of saturation, it wasn't easy to stand out. We have noticed the born of this cafe serving the special nitrogen ice cream since last year. When we happens to walk pass their shop in the raging afternoon, we thought why not chill out with their ice cream. The interior settings are neatly arranged in spacious manner, with love lock tree in vault and huge lego figures as deco. We love the open kitchen concept where we get to witness the whole nitrogen ice cream making process. Besides, they are offering wide range of coffee, cakes, snacks and main as well, with the menu that keep evolving.

Prices captured in this post are before GST implemented.

We opted for Coconut Nitrogen Ice Cream (RM 15.90). Liquid nitrogen were carefully extracted from the storage, mixed with fresh coconut that displayed at the refrigerator counter. Then, the chemical process of freezing occurred at the moment it is poured back into the coconut. Ice cream was remarkably smooth like sorbet, melt just right on my tongue and flood through my throat. It is less creamy and sweet than the usual ice cream.
