I would categorize Chulia Steet as one of the street filled with awesome food. The kochabi style of chicken rice, nested in this humble corner coffee shop since the year 1965. It is located opposite of famous Wai Kee Char Siew Rice and Goh Thew Chik Hainan Chicken Rice. Dining in their coffee shop feel like home. Patrons were welcomed with warm greeting and food served in a glimpse.
We ordered both Black and White Chicken. Ya, that is is the local way of ordering chicken rice. Black for roasted chicken while white for poached chicken. Tenderly soft boneless chicken served in soy sauce, bold in taste. Topped with shallot leaf for visual pleasure.
It came with fresh bean sprout with sesame oil and soy sauce. Although there is no way to compare with Ipoh, but it has sooth our yearn.
The refreshing chili sauce played the key on heighten the whole meal.
The simple meal in the noon with a cup of coffee. Total damage for 2 persons was RM 13.50,
