I would categorize Jalan Irrawaddi and Jalan Chow Thye as few of the streets in Penang invaded with awesome food. Ahmo was one of them sitting at Jalan Irrawaddi, next to Harvest Time. Their chef have 40 years of Western culinary experience. When we step in their restaurant, we immediately immersed into their chillax dining space and friendly stuff. Not only the foods are great, but the prices are wallet friendly too.
Fish Capers Beurre Blanc (RM 18) The fish fillets was not mushy at all, but the key was their homemade white sauce, a little bit buttery with capers as seasoning. A big bed of salad sided to balance the diet. You may be deceived by the potato's appearance as it came in whole piece, however it were simmered until pulpy, topped with their unique white sauce.
Ahmo Chicken Burger with Cheese and Egg (RM 16) We were told that their patties are homemade. We enjoyed as it is boldly seasoned. If we have to nitpick, it would be their cheese barely register their existence. It also came with fresh salad and fries.
|Ahmo Blast (RM 13), mixture of banana, apple, grapes, orange and pineapple.|
