There are not much dessert house in Penang, I am so glad U Desserts has set foot in Penang Island last year. This Hong Kong originated dessert chain has now expanded until 10 outlets in Malaysia, mainly spread around Johor, Selangor and Penang. Their extensive menu has spent us a while to pick. but luckily the menu is very straight forward and organized. The ambiance is simple and comfortable, with free flow of plain water to cleanse your throat. An ideal place to have our desserts desire fixed.
Mango Chong Fun (RM 9.80), I was a bit skeptical when picking this as one of our order, partially due to its price. However, our curiosity turned out to be pleasant. The chong fun was not anything close to the steamed rice roll we had. Sweet mango nicely wrapped within the silky smooth chong fun, and it is served in chilling cool.
Pamelo in Mango Sago Sweet Soup (RM 9.80). From here, I bet you can tell we have an affair with mango, in fact pamelo as well. Their combination of these two has brought the joy of fire works on top my head.
Pamelo in Durian Sago Sweet Soup (RM 10.80), we were not quite satisfy with the durian fragrance and find it a little bit weird. However, the pamelo has saved this bowl by adding some refreshing pop juice fun.
Sesame Soup with Sweet Balls (RM 6.80), something warm from the menu. Thick creamy sesame soup, came with chewy soft glutinous ball. It was not too sweet to our liking.
