Le Toma Cuisine had gone into our food hunting list after some aggressive promotional activities on social media. It publicizes on their menu with 40 over choices of western dishes and with affordable pricing ranging from RM 8.50 & above, with free flow of drink and a cup of dessert. Such pricing definitely is very competitive and attractive during this hard times.

The eatery claims to offer food that is hochiak (tasty) and tatchiak (worth the money), using fresh ingredients and no usage of monosodium glutamate (MSG). We agree with the latter claim as almost no western restaurant can offer dishes at RM 8.50 and inclusive of drinks and dessert but the former claim was something we beg to differ.

We visited Le Toma Cuisine Automall Branch and take a look at their menu. The 40 over types of western dishes mainly revolve around chicken, pork and fishes with different types of sauces or preparation methods such as black pepper sauce, parmigiana, aloha and etc. Spaghetti and burgers are offered as well. Not really something to shout about.

What we have to say regarding the dishes is "you get what you pay for".

Even the people whom does not own a very discerning palate finds the dishes were abominable.

The spaghetti was served awkwardly in a bowl instead of plate. We had a bowl of spaghetti chicken with creamy mushroom sauce (RM 10.50) and the noodles were cooked to the right texture though no al-dente.

However, the creamy mushroom sauce was off the mark. It supplies the creamy texture with abundance of mushrooms but not the aromatic scent as expected. The spaghetti noodles just did not bond in taste with the sauce.

Chicken slices were prepared in thick slices that were not right for chewing experience. Moreover, the meat was dried and the taste was bland. Luckily the portion of the spaghetti was small before it disowns our appetite.

Pork Parmigiana (RM 19.50) had a piece of over fried pork cutlet with a layer of cheese and sauce topping it. Surprisingly, these 2 layers can be separated with each others easily, just like you can take off the bun from a burger.

The pork cutlet was basically tasteless and dry, then the cheese and mushroom sauce layer was purely an insipid layer which serves the function of giving the sticky texture solely. What a clumsy concoction.

Neither of the sauces provided manage to salvage the dish.

The only pleasure we got from the entire dining experience probably was the free-flow drinks.

Nevertheless, it was recommendable that the servers were very attentive but the attentiveness caused discomfort to our dining experiences. We felt they were have good intention to provide excellent services but it turned to be badly fitted to our experiences.

This was solely our record of one visit to Le Toma Cuisine at Automall. Perhaps we were having a bad day to be served some food not appealing to our taste buds or the branch at Jalan Van Praagh would serve better food.
