If you are looking for artisanal cakes and desserts, then you should head to Vanilla Rosa cafe at Jalan Gottlieb. Every piece of cakes sold in the cafe is handcrafted by pastry chef cum owner, which means no replication of it can be found elsewhere.
The chief engineer for all wonderful pastries here is Mr. Beh. He pronounced his passion for pastries at the age of 18, then went to enhance his baking skills at Taiwan university for 3 years prior returning back to Malaysia.
Behind every piece of pastries in Vanilla Rossa, there are more than just flour, sugar, milk and other decorative items. It was the dedication and passion that differentiate the pastries here to the others.
Other than various pastries and dessert at Vanilla Rosa, they do cater for request to make customize cakes or catering for parties as well.

The signature at Vanilla Rosa would be their Tsum Tsum French Toast (RM 38.90). Mountainous load of charcoal toasts with walnuts fillings are topped with vanilla ice cream, then decorated with Tsum Tsum alike macaron.
Surprisingly, the macarons here are not grossly sweet. Mr. Beh has reiterated that all his pastries were made with mild sweetness so patrons here can enjoy a vast range of desserts without feeling overwhelmed and suffering from sugar rush.
The charcoal toasts are incredible delicate after being fried with butter prior serving, expressing a mild saltiness on the tongue. When coupled with the vanilla ice cream, it yields a mixture of pleasant sweet and salty taste.
The edible Tsum Tsum cartoons will be revised from time to time. This round it features the princess groups, from Rapunzel, Snow White, Bella and etc. It is just too difficult to put the nicely crafted Tsum Tsum into mouth and crush them into pieces!
It is recommended to share the Tsum Tsum French Toast with 3 people or more as the portion was huge. If you are a small eater, you can opt for their regular French toasts instead but there will be no Tsum Tsum cartoons, too bad!
Pavlova with Homemade Berry Jam (RM 18.90) is made into a garden feeling dish, with the pavlova sprinkled with cocoa powder and topping cream, resemble the wild fungus grown on cocoa powder soil.
To relish on this dish, mix cocoa powder, raspberry sauce and cream with the whitish pavlova to yield a balance of sweetness and sourish mouth-feel.
For a much conventional dessert menu, pick their Apple Crumble Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM 16.90) served hot in a mini frying pan topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Surprise unveil when eating as raisin are embedded within the apple crumbles, giving a tweak of the purely sweet taste. On a personal preference, we would prefer a vanilla ice cream with a stronger vanilla scent.
|Pesto Cream with Asparagus and Shrimp|
The owner understood gentleman well. Most guys would not mind accompanying their partner to savour dessert but always find it difficult when there is no main dishes for them to satiate their stomach. That is why Vanilla Rosa rolled out a series of main dishes.
Their Pesto Cream with Asparagus and Shrimp (RM 20.90) is unique in the sense that the pesto concoction was a mixture of 2 different pesto sauces, yielding an elusive taste. Meanwhile, generous quantity of turkey bacon and mushrooms are found within the Turkey Bacon and Mushroom Carbonara (RM 17.90), as the chef intended to create a balance for a less creamy version of carbonara.

All the cakes here are exclusive and unique as they were the creation of the owner and not sold elsewhere. The sweet taste engraved to cakes can be taken off here, as the sweetness were well balanced in the cakes crafted by Mr. Beh.
In between the sampling of sweet stuff, sip either Ronnefeldt or TWG tea to balance and cleanse the palate.
Even their marshmallows are uniquely crafted and not ubiquitous. It will be present in their afternoon tea set that we shall unveil if we have the chance to sample it.
