Almost everyone knows that Penang Road is famous of churning one of the best Teowchew Chendol in Penang, to the extent that it has been franchised and have several outlets in Malaysia.
It is undeniable that their Cendol is great. We loved it. However the long queue lately has been deterring from getting a bowl of it. We were just too tired to join the party for it.
Then we head to the neigbouring stall which has less customers and selling the same items as well. Surprisingly, the taste is equally good with less crowd!
The bowl of cendol dessert is packed with aromatic coconut milk and mild gula melaka syrup sweetness, then topped with the iconic greenish "worm".
On the other hand, the Ais Kacang is enjoyable too. It is packed with a bunch of ingredients including corns, red beans and jellies. Quench the thirst well during a scorching hot afternoon.
